John 18:1-14

After the upper room, Jesus withdraws to the Garden in Gethsemane to spend time in prayer. There Jesus will be arrested, orchestrated not by the power of man, but the will and authority of his father. By the knowing sacrifice of Jesus. He was arrested not in the light, but in darkness. Not in public, but in private. This is the intentional end of Jesus’s ministry on earth.
