John 12:9-26

There is no crown without a cross. Jesus did not arrive as other kings, with pomp and ceremony, but Jesus came to earth not so that he would rule, but so that he would die. While the crowd in Jerusalem is anticipating who Jesus is and welcoming Him as King, Jesus affirmed his Lordship, while also humbling himself on a donkey. Jesus came not to overthrow Rome, but death! The time has come!
